Char fishing experience with lunch (1 day)
This is a Dolly Varden (a type of char) fishing experience at the source of the Tokachi River.
This is a 7-hour full-day plan that includes lunch, including travel time to the fishing spot.
Enjoy the great outdoors at the source of the river that flows from the Daisetsu Mountain Range, also known as the roof of Hokkaido!
●What kind of fish can you catch?
We'll be fishing for Dolly Varden trout (a type of char), which are characterized by their scarlet dots!
●How do we fish?
The basic fishing method is bait fishing with insects (larvae).
Your guide will give you a detailed lecture, so don't worry.
●The Tokachi River has a lot to offer!
The upper reaches of the Tokachi River are surrounded by greenery, with extremely clear water and a treasure trove of living creatures.
When you feel the sound and scenery of the flowing river, you will feel the time passing slowly.
Why not come and enjoy the beautiful natural scenery to the fullest?
Participation is available for elementary school students (upper grades) and above!
The mountain streams at the headwaters are an environment where clear, cool water flows between large rocks.
Please be careful when moving around the fishing spot.
Lunch by the riverside!
Lunch is cooked over a campfire using a Dutch oven.
Of course, you can also grill and eat the fish you catch.
This tour takes you about an hour's drive from the base and involves fishing near Tomuratushi Onsen.
We also recommend staying overnight at Tomuratushi Onsen before or after the tour.
In that case, you can meet and leave on-site.

Reservation cancellation fee: A cancellation fee will be charged from one day before the tour date.

〇About clothing and belongings
Please wear long sleeves and long pants (made of synthetic fibers) even in summer.
Please take measures to protect yourself from insects and the cold.
Please be sure to wear socks under your rain boots (which will be provided).
We also recommend that you bring sunglasses (eye protection).

There are also many insects living in the area.
Not recommended for those who dislike insects.

Regarding the cancellation of the event
The event may be canceled depending on the weather and river conditions on the day.
In addition, since the fishing spot is very close to the mountainous area, if there is a sudden change in the weather, we may have to immediately stop and withdraw even during the experience.
